About this policy

This policy explains how Gracemont handles personal information when you visit this website, contact us or arrange a stay. You can contact us at hello@gracemont.com.au or write to Gracemont, 1B Lalors Lane, Healesville, Victoria 3777, Australia.

Information we collect

Depending on your interaction with us, we may receive your name, email address, telephone number, booking dates, guest numbers, billing details, payment status and correspondence. We also receive information you choose to share about your stay, requests or feedback.

Our website hosting and embedded service providers may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, and interactions with their services.

How we collect and use information

We collect information through enquiries, email, conversations and bookings. Booking platforms and our booking-management service may also provide the information needed to manage your reservation.

We use this information to respond to you, arrange and manage your stay, send booking and arrival information, administer payments and records, resolve issues and meet applicable legal obligations. If you choose not to provide information needed for a booking or enquiry, we may be unable to complete it.

If you choose to receive promotional messages from us, you can ask to stop receiving them at any time. Booking and service messages may still be necessary for your stay.

Bookings, payments and enquiries

Direct bookings and availability are provided through Smoobu. Card payments are processed through Stripe. Please enter payment details through the secure booking process rather than sending them in an enquiry or email.

The website enquiry form is provided by Elfsight. Information you submit is processed through that service so we can receive and respond to your enquiry.

Sharing and overseas processing

We may share information with providers who help us deliver your stay, manage bookings and payments, host the website, handle enquiries or maintain business records. We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law, or where necessary to address a dispute or protect legitimate legal rights.

Some providers operate internationally. Your information may be stored or processed outside Australia, including in Germany, the United States and India, depending on the service and its providers. Their policies explain their international processing arrangements. Contact us if you would like more information about a particular service.

Cookies and embedded content

This website includes an availability calendar, Instagram content, guest reviews, an enquiry form and Google Maps. Loading or using these features connects your browser to third-party services. Those services may receive technical information and use cookies or similar technologies for functionality, security or usage measurement, as described in their policies.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies or third-party content may affect some features. You can also contact us by email if you prefer not to use the enquiry form.

Links to other websites, booking platforms and local attractions are governed by those organisations’ privacy practices.

Storage and security

Information is held in our correspondence and booking records and in the systems of the service providers described above. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to manage enquiries and stays, maintain required business records or resolve disputes. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to legal retention requirements.

Access, corrections and privacy concerns

Email hello@gracemont.com.au to request access to or correction of information we hold about you, or to raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity before providing information or making changes.

Please describe your request or concern and how we can contact you. We will acknowledge it, investigate where needed and aim to respond within 30 days. If more time is needed, we will let you know. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain why.

If a privacy concern remains unresolved, you can seek guidance from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. Its ability to consider a complaint depends on whether the relevant organisation and matter fall within its jurisdiction.
